EastLink website changed to enhance security
Some changes have taken effect on the EastLink website to further enhance the security of customer data and transactions.
In particular, PIN codes have been replaced by passwords to login to EastLink accounts.
Previously, six digit PIN codes were used to login to an EastLink account at the EastLink website.
Now, the first time a login is made to an EastLink account at the EastLink website using the correct six digit PIN code, the website will require a new password to be created for the EastLink account.
The new password will need to satisfy minimum criteria, such as a minimum length.
It will not be possible to access the EastLink account details on the website until the new password has been created.
Once the new password has been created, it will no longer be possible to use the six digit PIN to login to the EastLink website. The new password will need to be used instead.
If a customer has forgotten the new password that was created for an EastLink account, there will be a FORGOTTEN MY PASSWORD link on the account login page. This will allow a password reset link to be emailed to the account holder using the email address registered with the account.
