EastLink is a sponsor of the Shine A Light on Road Safety campaign.

Amber Community’s Shine A Light On Road Safety campaign kicks off with the highly anticipated community Walk & Wheel at Albert Park Lake on Sunday 4 May 2025. This inspiring event invites participants to walk, or wheel around on your bicycle, wheelchair or mobility scooter or push a pram either 2km or 5km in memory of lives lost and in support of those impacted by road trauma.

  • Location: Palms Lawn, Albert Park Lake

  • Registration: Opens at 10am

  • Food trucks and entertainment: From 10am

  • Pre-Walk & Wheel proceedings:11am

  • Walk start time: 11:30am

Special guest speakers, including the Minister for Roads and Road Safety, an Amber Community lived experience volunteer, and Victoria Police’s Assistant Commissioner for Road Policing, will share personal and inspiring messages about the importance of road safety.

Amber Community offers free information and counselling to people impacted by road trauma.
This year, Amber Community encourages Victorians everywhere to take part in the Fundraise Your Way initiative throughout the entire month of May. From walking and swimming to running or hosting events, your creativity and commitment will help reach the $107,000 fundraising goal, supporting counselling, education, and peer-support services for those impacted by road trauma.
Register now and invite your family and friends to join you - for a 2km or 5km Community Walk & Wheel at Albert Park Lake, Sunday 5 May.
On Friday 2 May, turn on your headlights to Shine a Light on Road Safety.
