EastLink supports the 2024 Asia-Pacific Deaf Basketball Championships (21-29 Sep)
EastLink is supporting the transport needs of the 2024 Asia-Pacific Deaf Basketball Championships, which will be held at the State Basketball Centre (located next to EastLink at High Street Rd).
The tournament will be contested by 8 men’s teams and 3 women’s teams, all fighting for a qualifying place at the Deaflympics to be held in Tokyo, Japan in November 2025. Visit the tournament website for more details.
Some countries are participating in those championships for the first time - India, Indonesia, Mongolia, and the Philippines. It will be exciting to see what they bring to the tournament.
The tournament depends heavily on vehicle transport between athletes’ accommodations and the State Basketball Centre, which is made much easier by taking EastLink.
In particular, EastLink’s support will allow the Indonesian team and the Philippines team to travel between their bases and the State Basketball Centre, helping to make possible their participation in this tournament.
We wish the Indonesian team and the Philippines team the very best of success!
