EastLink sponsors Ringwood Diving Club in 2023
The EastLink Diving Championships kicked off EastLink’s sponsorship of Ringwood Diving Club in 2023.
The EastLink Diving Championships were held at Aquanation, Ringwood, on 27-29 January.
The EastLink Diving Championships included competition at the 1 metre and 3 metre springboard, as well as at the 5 metres, 7.5 metres and 10 metres diving platform levels. The Championships included springboard and platform synchronised events in addition to individual competition.
The Championships had a novice event that could be entered after one week of the Ringwood Diving Club’s recent holiday programme.
EastLink corporate affairs manager Doug Spencer-Roy said, “EastLink was a founding sponsor of Aquanation in Ringwood, and sponsored the inaugural EastLink Diving Championships with Ringwood Diving Club in January 2022.”
“We are privileged to again be able to provide support for Ringwood Diving Club at Aquanation’s outstanding diving facilities.”
Ringwood Diving Club operations manager and head coach Philip Wood said, “What a 2022 we had with club and coaches winning both State and National awards. RDC again repeated the outstanding achievement of winning the Australian age club of the year award for the second year and myself retaining the Australian age coach of the year award. In 2022, we also saw Rohan Blake win the Victorian coach of the year award and Yashoda DeSilva win the Victorian junior coach of the year award. Robert Simone led our club's Girls Sport Victoria team to their first win in 20 years.”
“We are very appreciative of EastLink’s support, which is making possible our Club Championships again in 2023.”
“Club members are particularly excited to see the novice and Learn to Dive events, in which holiday programme attendees are experiencing diving competition for the first time, in diving facilities that are truly world class.”
